Plants / Seeds / Food

Edible Acres has a wide variety of plants available for sale at very reasonable prices. You'll find our focus is on perennial food/medicine plants, and species that exhibit vigorous growth, an ability to fend for themselves, and share great tasting snacks to those who work with them...

The prices listed are flexible. If you are low or no income we still want you to have these plants. We're open to barter, trade, assistance on projects, and the beauty of simply giving. Let us know your need.

We are also currently experimenting with a product we call the "Potted Polyculture", which is a gallon pot filled with 3-5 different plants that get along well. Like a Raspberry with yarrow and mint, or Hazlenuts with garlic and oregano. You can take the whole thing and just plant them as a unit, let them do their thing and get along! We'll have fresh fruits, vegetebles and nuts available for sale as well this upcoming growing season, more details to follow.

Garden Design / Consultation / Installation

We're here to help you get the most from whatever space you have. Maybe you live in a small apartment with a tiny yard, maybe you've got 100+ acres of mixed land. We love to help people get in touch with the spaces they live in and make the most of whats available.

From sheet mulching to raised bed construction to double digging to soil rejuvenation... we've got you covered. We aren't afraid to get our feet wet and hands dirty helping people improve their space and their relationship to it.

We focus on using hand tools wherever appropriate, design with local resources and materials as much as possible, and design smart to minimize inputs and wastes.

We want our clients to feel empowered and connected to their gardens, we love to work along side with people and assist where needed.

Forest Management / Woodlot Assesment

Using fuel efficient and lightweight equipment, we happily provide services including small woodlot management, brush and scrub clearing, forest garden design using carefully culled trees for framework, coppice and pollard establishment, forest rejuvenation, wildlife habitat creation, and whatever else you may need!

Creative Design and Building for Home and Garden

From simple trellis designs for the garden to whole garden sheds, storage systems, playful forest cabins, Edible Acres can help you make structures from locally sourced material for minimal cost and input. We've made structures in our experimental plots for as little as $.50 per. sq.ft.! It's fun to see how nice a place you can make for next to no money!
